Drawing upon Cézanne’s analytical fashion, artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque invented cubism among 1907 and 1914 in Paris. Rejecting the concept artwork had to copy nature, Picasso and Braque emphasized the flat, two-dimensionality from the canvas. They fractured their topics into geometric styles, merging foregrounds and backgrounds.
